The last 2 Mondays my friend Barb has let me drop the girls off at her house for 3 hours in the mornings! They have so much fun over there and I have been able to tackle a few extra projects around the house.
They have an amazing 'princess' dress that Ava always looks forward to wearing.
They have played with baby dolls SO MUCH lately. I try to rotate some of their toys and I've had a big tub in their closet full of dolls that didn't used to get played with much. I pulled that out last week and they have gone to town dressing them up, changing their clothes, changing their diapers, etc. Gracie dressed all of these and lined them up one day:
They got fancy new 'princess' skirts in the mail from Grandma (with thanks to Steph!) and Gracie has fashionably paired hers with a pair of pants in this picture:
Just hanging out in a laundry basket, having a snack.
I pulled their mattresses into the living room one day and that kept them occupied for quite awhile.
Another day we transformed the whole living room.
Reed came over last Friday. We lasted for 45 minutes outside but had to head in by 8:45.
It is just TOO HOT!!
Ava and Gracie took turns pulling this basket around. They did this for at least 30 minutes and all 3 of them were laughing pretty much the whole time.
(Please pretend not to notice that half of the trim is brown and the other half is white. Thanks.)
This is me (obviously) as drawn by Ava. =)
We've read a lot of Clifford books lately!
A visit by TWO Supermen. What are the chances?
My Aunt Steph bought these dresses last year and they wore them to church throughout the winter (there is a pink sweater that goes with it) and they still get worn daily by Ava, and occasionally by Gracie. They are in surprisingly good shape, considering. Ava calls it her 'fancy dress'.
This stern look was to inform Ava and I that we could not touch the snake, only she could touch it.
They also got to see an armadillo, fox, and deer at Aunt Jody's house, and make an octopus craft and tiaras there as well! (but I wasn't there so I don't have pictures)
Love these girls!
